The warm spring weather has finally arrived lifting everyone’s spirit after a particularly cold and nasty February. In fact, it was the coldest February in almost three decades! Still, all is not well here at the Canadiana. We lost two bonnie wee lassies today.
Jennifer (or Jenn) from Kinross had been with us for a little over two months. She’s an old friend of Mitch (also from Kinross) who is? founding member of the legendary Canadiana “Lager Louts”. Jenn was joined here by Sarah a childhood friend about a month ago.?
Sarah also grew up with Mitch (the operative word here is “grew up” something the Double L’s steadfastly refuse to do) and I believe he calls her “Barnes”.
Anyhow, the two bonnie wee lassies have found a flat in downtown Toronto. It is in an area known as the “Gay Village” and is just off Yonge Street – Toronto’s main North-South artery and longest street in the world. (about 1200 miles long) It’s a safe and trendy area – so good choice lassies!
The “Village” as it is often called is full of Bistros, Coffee Bars, Night Clubs, restaurants with ambiance? as well as? chic specialty stores and boutiques. All in all, quite a pleasant part of the inner city. It is close to the posh shops of the Bloor Street? / Yorkville area; the favourite Toronto haunts of A-list movie stars.
So we took one last photo of the two lassies before they left for their new apartment and now the hostel is just a little bit less beautiful than it was yesterday. But remember lassies, you’re always welcome to visit! See you on Karaoke night, perhaps??

The girls will be missed, now we don\’t have anyone to make fun of. Zoe, another lovely young lady from the Canadiana is moving in with them as well. Farewell and best wishes to the 3 of you.
