Venezuelan Style

The Venezuelan invasion happened suddenly. The leader, Luisa, her right hand man her son Rafael and her biggest supporter her daughter Alejandra.

The great family that they were, they were loved by all in the short three months that they were here studying english.

When it started to get closer to the time that they would leave you could feel the sadness in the air.

So Pearcey decided to throw them a going away party, Venezuelan style.

Alejandra and Rafael helped to prepare the traditional food. One of the most significant foods from Venezuela, Arepas which is a kind of bread and Papelon a drink made with raw hardened sugar cane pulp and usually lemon or lime.

Venezuelan flags were hung and what a surprise it was for Luisa who had been kept inside until everything was ready.

Lots of different nationalities joined in the Venezuelen atmosphere and what a great experience it was for everyone.

Once the food was eaten the traditional Venezuelan music was turned up and a dance floor created so that everyone at the party could dance into the night led by Rafael.

We miss you all…. when will you come back to visit?
