THE WARM WINTER of 2011/2012 (Pt. 2)

It’s been a warm winter (thus far). To make such an outrageous statement in CANADA in FEBRUARY, seems like a classic oxymoron. Nonetheless, that’s how it has been this winter in Toronto.

Our previous post; “Toronto’s Unusual Winter”, detailed the unusually temperate climate as of the end of January 2012.

It is now February 10 and it continues to be mild. We Torontonians, in our collective experience, have never experienced a winter in which we were not savaged by cold and snow, Lots of snow!

But the past few years, have seen much less snow than was expected (likely the result of Global Warming). About the coldest it has been is perhaps -10 at night (that was several weeks ago).

But we are Canadians! We will not be lulled into complacency by Old Man Winter! In fact, we are guessing that he is going to hit us hard! That’s just the way it is here in the Great White North.

But we are ready. So winter, do what you will! In less than a month, Spring will be here to kick your ice cold a..!
