Chris Morgan: President, and Owner - Canadiana Backpackers Inn Youth Hostel.

Returning to Toronto in 1996 after a lengthy round the World trip, Chris resolved to re-create the camaraderie, goodwill and fun that comes from a well run hostel. He is extremely grateful to the staff and his father for making his dream come true.

He hopes to cycle around Cuba, climb Macu Piccu in Peru and tango in Buenos Aires in the next couple of years. He says a couple of years because he thinks it will take him this long to get fit enough to do these things.

Sandra Tojeira: Manager-Canadiana Backpackers Inn Downtown Toronto Youth Hostel.

When not training for her big break in the WNBA, ("Magic" Tojeira has a certain ring to it) Sandra can usually be found in the Canadiana hostel office beavering away at the million and one things it takes to make an award winning hostel run smoothly. Well known for her energetic lifestyle and search for new challenges...she backpacked through Europe taking along a tickle-me-Elmo. Go figure.

In Austria she embarked on a voyage of self discovery - whitewater rafting. After which - again, go figure - she realized her mission in life was to make the Canadiana the best hostel in the business. She intends to motorcycle through South America. Whether Tickle-Me-Elmo will accompany her is the subject of much conjecture around the Canadiana.

This is the first of at least 4 couples to meet at the hostel and later marry. The happy pair, now live in Vienna, Austria. Here they are posing with staff members during a return visit to the hostel. Gareth is from Austria, Tova is from Canada.
